Carnaval Andino Internacional con la Fuerza del Sol // Andean Carnival with The Power of Sun
For three days in february, Arica is painting colors through the dance in the Andean International Carnival “Con La Fuerza del Sol” (with the Power of the Sun). At least 5.000 people dance in colorful costumes. The members of every krewe are not only adults but also children and older people. Everyday, the carvinal starts in the afternon and finishes in the early morning. The carnival is the most important tourist attraction in the summer of Arica.
The Andean International Carnival dates for 2011 are February 11st, 12nd and 13th.
